I found a Twitpic of that:

The seats are quite far away from the stage. I am not sure I'd like that.

Just back from the Scarborough concert. JB was on great form, even came out before the concert to warm us up a little! (And we got a view of him not often seen in public ;) ) Set list as follows, in spoiler tags for those who would rather wait:

Act 1 (Blue suit from 2010 tour and Series 2 TTN)
Pre-record of "When I Get My Name in Lights"
Hollywood
Listen To The Music
What About Us
Memories
Don't Cry Out Loud
Man of La Mancha (yaaaaaaaayyyyy!)
And I Love You So
Baby Give It Up
Don't Rain On My Parade

Act 2 (Red suit as above)
Celebrate
You To Me Are Everything
Fireflies
I Made It Through The Rain
Life Is A Rollercoaster
The Greatest Day
You Raise Me Up
Let's Get Loud

Encore (Black sequin suit)
From A Distance
I Am What I Am

Only downside was that the whole thing was very short - Act 1 about 45 minutes and Act 2 barely half an hour. Not that I'm greedy, it just seemed to be over way too quickly. Still, there's always tomorrow.....

Thanks so much for the song list. Well, it was almost a two hour show. Also, outdoor venues may have time restrictions as to when concerts have to end. Remember it was just John; no other act; so an almost two hour show is good. I would love to see a show with just John and none of the other sidekicks. :)

From the tweets that were posted yesterday everyone who went to Scarborough really enjoyed the concert. I even saw a couple of positive tweets from people who lived nearby and were listening from their garden :D
A chappie called Scott Shaw-Smith has posted some nice videos from the concert

I thought that last night's concert was so much better. Don't get me wrong, Scarborough was good, but there were a few things that weren't quite right - the venue itself, the moat, very small audience. John is an artist who very much relies on feedback from his audience, and that was one of the things that was missing, for me anyway, in Scarborough.

Glasgow was worlds apart. The seating was much nearer to the stage - and no dratted moat! He had his family on the front row, and pulled them into the show on several occasions, including getting Greg up to sing "Empty Chairs At Empty Tables" - it was as much a surprise for Greg as for everyone else! John spoke throughout in Scottish - which is always a bonus!

The audience was a bit more of a challenge though - several times people just wandered up to the stage and tried to get John's attention. They were mostly very swiftly dealt with by security. And lots of them had had WAY too much to drink. We saw one young chap get arrested at the gates after the concert for being D&D. Outside the gates, a car almost identical to John's was waiting, and when Mark drove out, the other car started up and followed him. Someone admitted on Twitter that it was their mother and her friend. John replied to the Tweet and seemed OK about it, but it did creep me out slightly.

Anyway, mustn't grumble, John was back to his 110% effort last night, which was really good to see. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, as did my friends. Hopefully John can now get a bit of rest before the biggie tomorrow, for which he's been nominated by the London Evening Standard as one of this weekend's hot tickets!

Have just heard the Blackpool is cancelled - OH NOOOOO!!!! I expect that John is really disappointed. Still, that means I can lie in bed a bit longer, and work out how to get back to London in one hit, today.

Can they then build the stage in London today already? Is the weather better there? Oh my, I think everyone will be disappointed. But I am flying in from Germany, so I really hope London happens!

Official report on cancellation for Blackpool concert:

John's vid explaining cancellation:

How sad people are so angry at John. The safety for his crew and everyone takes precedence. Remember, Elton John's show was stopped after a few songs. If someone had gotten hurt then everyone would be yelling why didn't they cancel to begin with? If anyone is upset and sad it's John himself.

On to Sunday's show...
